Halifax Macs Capture Atlantic Championship
The Halifax McDonalds captured the 2019 Atlantic Major Midget Hockey Championships with a 4-1 victory over the Kensington Wild. The Macs will now represent the Atlantic region at the 2019 Telus Cup National Midget Hockey Championship April 22-28 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. [Full Story]

McDonalds Capture Major Midget Title
Courtesy - The Chronicle Herald Davis Cooper and Mitchell McLeod each scored twice as the Halifax McDonalds downed the Cole Harbour Wolfpack 6-2 to capture the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League championship on Saturday night. The McDonalds won the best best-of-five series 3-1. Matthew MacDonald and Daniel Kline added singles for Halifax, which advances to the Atlantic major midget championship April 4-7 in Charlottetown. Western Kings Claim HNL Title
Grand Falls-Windsor NL – The Western Kings will be representing Hockey NL at the 2019 Major Midget Atlantic Championship being held in Charlottetown, PEI this weekend from April 4-7, 2019. The Kings, who finished third place in the regular season, beat Tri-Pen Osprey in seven games of the finals to claim the 2019 Newfoundland Labrador Major Midget Hockey League title on Saturday night in Deer Lake in front of a capacity crowd. Drew Langdon scored both the tying and game winning goal in the third period and also took home the Presidents Trophy for the top Play-Off Performance. [Full Story]

Charlottetown Pride Awarded Atlantic Championships
Hockey PEI has announced that the Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Pride has been selected as the host for the 2019 Major Midget Atlantic Championships. The Charlottetown Pride will host the event at MacLauchlan Arena (Bell Aliant Centre) from April 4-7, 2019. The championship will crown the top Major Midget team from the region. Teams will include Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, a provincial representative from PEI (Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild) and the host team Charlottetown Pride. [Full Story]

Kensington wins fourth straight Island Championship
Courtesy Jason Simmonds – Journal Pioneer CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — That’s a wrap as the Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild downed the Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Pride 5-3 Wednesday in Charlottetown and wrapped up a fourth straight Island major midget title. Kensington led the best-of-seven N.B.-P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League series 3-0 heading into MacLauchlan Arena and though it already had a berth in April’s major midget Atlantics, the Wild’s Ryan Richards said he’d rather earn his way there. Moncton Flyers Return to Atlantic Championships
Mathias Savoie starred in goal as the Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers defeated the Saint John Vito's 4 - 1 to capture the New Brunswick Midget AAA championship in Moncton on Saturday.. Savoie stopped 30 shots. Yannic Bastarache and Cole Cormier had a goal and an assist to lead the Flyers offensively. Brock Forsythe and Alexis Dube also scored.
